Every year, AIBC Thailand facilitates opportunities for students
to undertake short-term stays at boarding schools across England, improve their English language skills through homestay tutoring and join holiday courses and academic enrichment programmes.
The courses run over two school holiday periods, March & April (Thai Summer or Easter) and July & August (English Summer) and combine English language learning with interactive activities and full day excursions to iconic destinations such as London, Cambridge and Oxford.
In the months leading up to departure, AIBC staff are on hand to assist with the time-consuming process of securing U.K. visas, manage onboard seating arrangements and run a closed-group Pre-Departure Briefing. On the day of departure, the entire team relocates to Suvarnabhumi Airport to help with check-in and luggage loading.
Experienced Group Leaders accompany the students throughout each trip and provide daily updates and photos to parents. In accordance with UK regulations, each Leader will have satisfied a police check and familiarised themselves with Child Safety & Protection laws prior to flying out.
In 2019, AIBC partnered with two specialist providers; Living, Learning English (LLE) and Millfield Enterprises who offered our students courses lasting from 4 to 6 weeks.
LLE is a Bristol-based company that specialises in homestay tutoring. Students benefit from undertaking a tailor-made course while being immersed in ‘English living’. Offered from the comfort of a qualified teacher’s home, each day combines English language lessons with a social programme that provides students with the opportunity to engage in a range of cultural and educational activities. Students connect with their teacher’s family over meals and through such interactions, become extended members of the household that more often than not, lead to the formation of lifelong friendships. The total immersion approach is what distinguishes LLE from the ordinary, run-of-the-mill language school and the results speak for themselves thanks to the abundant opportunities created to capitalise on progress.
Owned and operated by one of the industry’s most experienced and knowledgable educators, AIBC Thailand is proud to partner with LLE and looks forward to many more years of working together.

For students wanting to undertake a short-term stay in a British Boarding School, known as a ‘Sit-In’ or ‘Taster’, over the Thai school holiday period (March to May), AIBC Thailand can make the arrangements through its network of partner schools. Students have the option of enrolling for between 2 weeks and 3 months and will study and stay amongst local, British students. A ‘sit-in’ is the perfect way to experience a British boarding school and all the wonderful things they have to offer.
